RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has recorded that 175 Products, Services, and Features (PLF) have submitted their reports. These digital platforms have conducted a self-assessment under the PP TUNAS regulation for child protection.
Some of the major platforms that have submitted reports include Netflix, the PUBG game, and the e-commerce platform Shopee. This step was taken as a form of compliance with regulations on the protection of child users in Indonesia.
Indonesia’s Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, provided an official statement regarding the development of this data. Reports from dozens of Electronic System Operators (ESOs) are currently being further evaluated by the ministry.
“It has been exactly three months since the TUNAS Regulation was implemented at the end of March 2026. Currently, there are approximately 175 PLFs under the umbrella of 64 ESOs that have conducted self-assessments and submitted them to the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs,” she said in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
There are several key aspects that every digital platform operator must evaluate. These aspects include identifying the platform’s risk level for users under the age of 16.
The evaluation also examines potential exposure to harmful content such as violence, pornography, and cyberbullying. In addition, age verification systems and parental control features are also reviewed.
Once all documents are received, the Ministry of Communication and Digital will immediately begin the verification process in the order they are received. The results of this evaluation will serve as the primary basis for determining the risk category of each digital platform.
“Because we use a risk-based approach, each risk must be examined individually, so the process does take time. We assess each risk. These include content-related risks, risks of contact with strangers, addiction risks, health risks, and various other risks,” she said.
Besides, the Minister reminded platforms that have not yet submitted their reports to fulfill their obligations immediately. Platforms that fail to comply may automatically be classified as high-risk platforms.
Streaming or OTT services that have already submitted reports include Netflix, Vidio, HBO Max, and Disney. Meanwhile, games that have submitted their reports include Roblox, PUBG Online, and Crossfire. There are also other popular games such as Age of Empires Mobile, Valorant, Free Fire, and Mobile Legends.
In the e-commerce category, the platforms that have already filed reports include Shopee, Tokopedia, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Payment systems such as Dana, Gopay, and Flip.id have also submitted their documents.
