RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian National Economic Council (DEN) Chairman Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan reported to President Prabowo Subianto that the implementation of the Government Technology (GovTech) system has reached 80 percent.
Luhut described this as a major achievement in advancing public service technology, noting that GovTech has successfully connected data across ministries and agencies.
“For the first time in history, data from eight ministries and agencies has been consolidated into a single system,” Luhut said during a press conference at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
He added that the integration of ministry and agency data was achieved on June 1. With this 80 percent milestone, the next step is to synchronize and clean the data.
Luhut emphasized that GovTech’s data integration relies on artificial intelligence (AI), demonstrating the government’s adaptability in leveraging technology to improve the efficiency of public services.
The AI‑based GovTech system is expected to accelerate digital transformation in the government sector. It will not only speed up public services and social assistance verification but also streamline government program management.
“The data is now unified through AI, so all information is connected and being cleaned by AI. Recently, we demonstrated at the House of Representatives how facial recognition can resolve issues instantly—in just one minute,” Luhut said. (Gusti Panji)
