RRI.CO ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's Vice Minister of Defense, Donny Ermawan Taufanto, officially opened the Presidential Future Leadership Program (PFLP) for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Batch 1, 2026. The program's opening took place at the Education and Training Command of the Indonesian Military (TNI) in Serpong, Tangerang, Banten Province, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

He stated that the program aligns with the main theme of the 118th National Awakening Day commemoration in 2026, namely "Protecting the Nation's Shoots for the Sake of National Sovereignty."

The Vice Minister also urged stakeholders to strengthen the quality of human resources as the foundation of the nation's future, and to utilize the spirit of unity as a strength to safeguard Indonesia's sovereignty and progress.

"This FFLP is a concrete manifestation of the government's commitment to preparing an adaptive, competitive, and character-driven young generation to support national development and progress, particularly for state-owned enterprises (SOEs), in the future," Donny said in his remarks.

Furthermore, he stated that the participants of the PFLP had undergone through a lengthy and rigorous selection process. Thousands of applicants participated in various stages of the selection process, from basic competency testing, psychology, IQ tests, interviews, and medical examinations to the central-level selection at the TNI Training and Education Command (Kodiklat TNI), which included interviews on mental ideology, physical fitness, and the final selection.

"From this entire process, 400 top participants were selected to participate in this program. Therefore, I congratulate all participants who have passed," he explained.

The participants will participate in a three-month character-building program, a four-month managerial development program, and a two-month internship program.

The Vice Minister hopes that this series of programs will develop human resources with the best hearts and minds. Future leaders of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) will not only excel intellectually, but also be able to mobilize, unite, and inspire those around them.

"Leaders who possess integrity, an unyielding spirit, national insight, and a national spirit in every task they carry out and serve the nation and state," he said.

Therefore, he urged all participants to undergo the program by having sincerity, discipline, and full responsibility. He asked the participants to use every learning process as a means to strengthen their capacity, broaden their horizons, and develop leadership skills based on national values.

Furthermore, the Vice Minister, during the event, told the media that the goal of the PFLP is also to educate the participants' character, nationalism, togetherness, discipline, and fighting spirit.

He mentioned they will also spend four months at Danantara Corporate University learning about managerial skills, decision-making, analytical processes, and cyber-security. "So it's very comprehensive. We will bring in many local and international instructors to share their knowledge," he said.
