RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar has encouraged the replication of creative space development models across regions to strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the national creative economy.
Muhaimin cited M Bloc Space in South Jakarta as an example of a venue that has successfully implemented such a model. “M Bloc has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of MSMEs and the creative economy,” he said on Monday, May 4, 2026.
He added that M Bloc’s success demonstrates how collaboration between assets, creative managers, and the government can foster a productive business ecosystem. Muhaimin hopes similar models will be expanded so that regional MSMEs can gain better access to business spaces and financing.
“Well-managed people’s business credit (KUR) will open new job opportunities and strengthen the growth of MSME operators,” he said. Muhaimin expects that within the next five years, 10 million people will be targeted to secure decent jobs through strengthened business financing.
MSMEs Minister Maman Abdurrahman echoed the statement, saying M Bloc Space is tangible proof that public facilities can foster SME growth. He noted that such initiatives also provide opportunities for the younger generation to expand the national creative economy.
Maman further encouraged the development of village-based creative economies, including tourism and businesses rooted in local wisdom. “So that new economic growth centers can eventually be created in rural areas,” he said. (Gusti Panji/Lasti Martina)
