RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, attended the Pradana Nitya Budaya TMII Awards 2026 at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in Jakarta, Friday 1 May 206. Held for the second time since 2025, the awards honor regional pavilions for their role in preserving Indonesian culture.

Fadli said the awards recognize pavilions that excel in management, cultural preservation, and visitor services. He added that the program also encourages innovation while measuring efficiency and performance.

The minister said the Ministry of Culture continues to support the development of regional pavilions at TMII. He noted that provincial governments are expected to play a stronger role in managing the facilities.

“The role of local governments is very important, because the pavilions are showcases of each province in Indonesia,” Fadli said. He added that the ministry supports the revitalization of regional pavilions across the cultural park.

He also stressed that culture has become a form of soft power driving cultural economies and creative industries in many countries. He urged TMII to keep culture as the main foundation for a sustainable, innovative, and relevant ecosystem.

InJourney Destination Management President Director Febrina Intan said the pavilions at TMII are physical representations of Indonesia’s cultural wealth. “Regional pavilions are windows into Indonesia’s diversity through the stories of each region,” she said.

This year’s event introduced three additional categories besides the main Best Regional Pavilion award. South Sumatra won Best Exhibition Design, West Sulawesi received Best Hospitality, and East Java won Best Resilience Pavilion.

In the main category, Central Java placed third, Bali came second, and South Kalimantan won first place. Fadli said the awards should serve as a key driver of regional cultural ecosystems and stronger national identity.
