RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy is exploring collaboration with Meta Platforms to boost the global reach of Indonesia’s creative economy players. The initiative aims to improve the competitiveness of local talent in international markets.
The Indonesia's Vice Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, said the effort reflects a dual strategy of strengthening domestic engagement and increasing global exposure. She affirmed that digital platforms play a key role in bringing Indonesian creative works to a wider audience.
“At the domestic level, we want the creative economy to be more accessible and understood by the public, while internationally, we aim to expand the exposure of creative players and events. she said during a meeting in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 28, 2026. “The Ministry of Creative Economy acts as a matchmaker, linking industry demands with stakeholders and aligning various interests so they can move forward together,” she said.
The discussion also covered potential areas of cooperation between both parties. These include cross-country market data exchange, creator training using gamified learning and artificial intelligence, and strengthening community guidelines education.
