The summit that takes the theme "a decade of impact" gathered Indonesian event organizers and stakeholders to marks 10 years of its journey as the most strategic B2B forum in the Indonesian MICE, events, and tourism industry.

The Indonesian Professional Organizers society Summit (IPOS) is a leading B2B forum dedicated to advancing the event management profession in Indonesia.

With its mission to promote excellence, professionalism, and collaboration among event industry players, IPOS plays a vital role in shaping the landscape of the event management industry in Indonesia.

In her opening remarks Vice Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Puspa, said that this forum has become a space where ideas, collaboration and real transaction meet.

"This forum gathered professional event in Indonesia and IPOS is not just an event because it has been a movement to enliven MICE industry nationally and globally." Vice Minister Ni Luh said.

Indonesia's events industry, valued at over Rp 84.4 trillion annually, is now entering a new phase: from mere execution to orchestration.

Met after the opening ceremony, Harry D. Nugraha, founder of IPOS said that this summit is not only provide B2B (Business to business) but creating a new way how to do business particularly in events organizers sector.

"Besides B2B and exhebition, we also have anti mainstream presentation where seller can do in 10 minutes to Direct the buyers", Harry said.

Harry also mentioned that there are 8,7 million event workers in Indonesia. This number is survey by Ivendo (Indonesia event industry council) in 2024. And most of them are working under event organizer that are members of Ivendo and IPOS.

Unlike conventional exhibitions or expos, IPOS-X adopts a curated market approach, bringing decision-makers, not just the crowd. This approach has been proven to generate over 454 business leads and potential revenue of over 396 billion rupiah by 2026.

Meanwhile, Irvan Mahidin, Chairman of IVENDO, stated that despite hosting more than 10,000 events annually and involving 8.77 million workers, the Indonesian events industry still face a fundamental challenge, the lack of a control tower that integrates data, demand-supply, and business conversion.

Therefore, IPOS-X becomes a strategic solution with four main pillars:

• IPOS Smart Forum – Data-based insights and industry trends

• Business Presentation – Direct access to qualified buyers

• 360° Business Networking – Deep deal-making, not superficial networking

• Champion's Night – Building trust and industry social capital

This approach resulted in significant conversion rates, with the majority of transactions being at the “confirmed (37.86%)” and “80% in progress (39.81%)” stages a strong indicator that IPOS is not just a forum, but a business conversion engine.
