RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Jakarta Provincial Government received an award from Indonesia’s Ministry of Home Affairs as the Best Provincial Administration in 2025 for regional governance. The award was granted based on the results of the 2025 Regional Government Performance Evaluation.

“This is the result of the collective work of all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in Jakarta, allowing us to maintain this achievement. Hopefully, we can continue to sustain it in the years to come,” Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno said while receiving the award on the 30th Regional Autonomy Day commemoration in 2026 at the Ministry of Home Affairs office in Central Jakarta on Monday, April 27, 2026.

In a release published on the website of Jakarta provincial government, Monday, he expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Home Affairs for the award and ongoing guidance provided to regional governments in strengthening governance. He hopes this achievement will encourage the Jakarta Provincial Government to further improve governance quality, public services, and the effectiveness of development programs.

Meanwhile, Vice Minister of Home Affairs, Bima Arya Sugiarto, showed appreciation to the 29 regional leaders in attendance. They were considered capable of turning challenges into opportunities through innovation and measurable performance.

“Today’s regional leaders demonstrate that beyond rhetoric, there are meaningful figures from government performance, economic growth, poverty reduction, to open unemployment that are directly felt by the public,” he said.

According to him, the essence of regional autonomy is not merely the distribution of authority, but the responsibility to deliver tangible public services. “Regional autonomy must be accompanied by continuous efforts to strengthen institutions and human resources—not only capable regional leaders, but also strong OPD teams down to the sub-district and village levels,” he said.

In the spirit of the 30th Regional Autonomy Day in 2026 commemorated every April 25, Jakarta Provincial Government remains committed to strengthening coordination, collaboration, and synergy with the central government, while also serving as an active partner in formulating policies aligned with regional potential and needs. The spirit of regional autonomy is expected to drive equitable, inclusive, and sustainable development.
