President Prabowo Subianto Affirms Indonesia's Rise as a Global "Rising Giant"

RRI.CO.ID, Magelang - President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, affirmed his strong optimism regarding Indonesia's rise as a major global power, or "Rising Giant," during the inauguration of PT VKTR Sakti Industries' electric commercial vehicle assembly facility in Magelang Regency on Thursday, April 9, 2026. This momentum is considered part of a national awakening phase supported by the nation's independence and strong resources.

In his remarks, President Prabowo Subianto, underscored that Indonesia has a very strong foundation to face global challenges, particularly in the energy sector. The Head of State assessed Indonesia's rich resource base as a significant asset for moving forward with optimism amidst global uncertainty.

"We must be vigilant, but we must be optimistic. We will face challenges in the coming months, but we have resources, we have very strong, very abundant resources. Although they are numerous, we must conserve them. We must move towards clean energy, renewable energy," the President stated.

He further emphasized that food and energy independence are absolute requirements for Indonesia to survive and continue to grow as a great nation. "A country as large as ours, if we want to remain independent, if we want to survive, we must be independent in the most crucial areas, the most important of which is, of course, food, followed by energy," the President said.

President Prabowo also conveyed a message of optimism to the public, especially the younger generation, that Indonesia's future is bright and full of hope. The President emphasized that pessimistic views do not reflect the reality of the nation's current strength.

"Indonesia is not dark, Indonesia is very bright, we are very strong, the stronger we grow, the better. The future of our children is bright," the President stated.

Furthermore, President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia is entering an era of great awakening and is no longer a "sleeping giant." With full confidence, the Head of State conveyed the message that Indonesia is now awakening and ready to become a global power to be reckoned with.

This inauguration is a strong symbol that Indonesia is not only moving forward but is also sprinting towards a strategic position on the world stage as a rising giant that is confident, independent, and ready to lead the future.
