RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian government plans to complete the restructuring of several State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) this year. The Head of the SOE Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), Dony Oskaria, announced the plan at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
The restructuring is a direct instruction from President Prabowo Subianto to ensure that SOEs operate more effectively and efficiently. Dony added that the President also seeks fundamental governance improvements for several SOEs in collaboration with Danantara Indonesia.
“We must complete the entire SOE restructuring, and it is hoped that this can be finished on time, along with the remaining fundamental improvements,” Dony said.
He explained that the transformation process is expected to proceed smoothly and deliver tangible benefits for Indonesians.
Dony cited the merger of four underperforming companies as part of the restructuring. He expressed confidence that the consolidation would improve performance and competitiveness.
In addition, BP BUMN is merging companies in the logistics sector. Dony said 15 firms will be consolidated into a single national logistics company. “Those that are not yet sufficiently competitive in scale, we are merging into one, so that they will become competitive. Similarly, for logistics companies, we are announcing the consolidation of 15 companies into a single national logistics company,” added Dony. (Gusti Panji/Lasti Martina)
