RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Eight decades of boundless service have become a momentum for the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) to maintain its presence, not only in safeguarding national sovereignty but also in providing tangible contributions to society. In line with this spirit, TNI AU held a social service event in Pasirlangu Village, Cisarua District, West Bandung Regency, on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.

In a press statement received by RRI VOI on Wednesday, 1 April, 2026, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Chief Marshal M. Tonny Harjono, stated that the social service aims to alleviate the community's burden while strengthening the bond between TNI AU and the people.

Furthermore, the Air Chief Marshal conveyed that the selection of Pasirlangu Village as the location for the event was based on the area's condition, which had previously been affected by a disaster and still requires ongoing attention and support.

During the event, TNI AU established a health service post that served approximately 1,300 residents. The services provided included general health check-ups, laboratory tests, and consultations with specialists, including pediatricians, internists, ophthalmologists, as well as dermatologists and venereologists.

In addition to health services, TNI AU distributed 300 free eyeglasses and 6,000 basic food packages to the residents of Pasirlangu Village. The Air Chief Marshal also mentioned that similar programs will continue to be implemented in various regions as a manifestation of TNI AU's commitment to becoming increasingly professional and providing the best service to the nation.

Meanwhile, the Vice Governor of West Java, H. Erwan Setiawan, representing the Governor, expressed his appreciation to the Indonesian Air Force for organizing this social service activity.

"TNI AU's presence in the community through social activities like this shows that the military is not only strong in defending national sovereignty, but also present as a friend of the people who consistently cares for public welfare," the Vice Governor stated.
