Prabowo Expresses Condolences for Three Indonesian Soldiers Killed in Lebanon

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto has expressed his condolences over the deaths of three Indonesian Military (TNI) personnel who were serving in a peacekeeping mission in Lebanon. The message was delivered through his Instagram account Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
Through a post on his official account @prabowo, the chairman of the Gerindra Party extended his sympathies to the families of the soldiers who died while carrying out their duties.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun. My deepest condolences for the passing of Captain Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, First Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ichwan, and Chief Private Farizal Rhomadon while serving in a peacekeeping mission in the Middle East,” Prabowo wrote through the Instagram Story feature.
Prabowo also paid a tribute to the soldiers for their dedication and sacrifice in carrying out their duty to maintain peace.
In a separate press statement, the Government Communication Agency said President Prabowo highly appreciated the service and bravery of the Indonesian soldiers involved in the international mission.
According to the agency, the soldiers demonstrated strong commitment in maintaining global peace while representing Indonesia with honor on the international stage.
Earlier, clashes between the Israeli military and armed groups in southern Lebanon reportedly killed three Indonesian peacekeepers who were part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mission in late March 2026.
The Ministry of Defense also confirmed that two other Indonesian soldiers were seriously injured in the escalation of the conflict, while the government continues to monitor the situation of Indonesian personnel serving in the peacekeeping mission.
