During the visit, Fadli Zon emphasized the palace’s strategic role as a center of Javanese civilization with deep historical and cultural significance. He stated that the government continues to promote gradual and sustainable revitalization of palaces, museums, and cultural areas.
He explained that revitalization goes beyond physical restoration and includes strengthening historical narratives and improving professional management practices. The initiative also integrates technology to enhance public engagement and visitor experience.
“The Surakarta Palace holds great potential to become a world-class cultural destination through well-planned and collaborative revitalization,” Fadli Zon said. He added that such efforts aim to create a vibrant and competitive cultural hub.
