RRI.CO.ID, Bekasi - The number of public transport passengers for Eid Homecoming this year saw an increase. As of Wednesday, 25, 2026, the data of the Integrated Eid Transport Command Center 2026 saw there are 15,3 million passengers or 11.11 percent more compared to 2025.

However, that data is still temporary. "The data is still dynamic as the calculation still continues until 30 March 2026," Indoensia's Transportation Minister, Dudy Purwagandhi, conveyed.

According to him, the reverse or return flow potentially will peak on March 28-29, 2026. To anticipate this, he asked the people to return earlier namely on March 26-27, 2026.

He recommended the people to plan their trip more wisely to secure a safe and comfortable return trip. This, according to him, will also help spread the traffic onto a longer period.

Not only that, the minister also encouraged the people to use the work-from-anywhere policy. There is also 30 percent discount across 9 toll road sections on March 26-27.

Meanwhile, the government still imposed limitation to vehicles with three or more axles until March 29, 2026. Minister Dudy asked logistic transport companies to follow that regulation.

The transportation minister affirmed the compliance to regulations and officer instructions in the field has lowered accidents and fatalities during this year's Eid. He then expected the number stay low until March 29, 2026.
