DPR RI Approves Five OJK Commissioners for the 2026–2031 Term

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) held its 16th Plenary Session of the Fourth Session Period of the 2025–2026 Legislative Year on Thursday, 12 March 2026. In the session, the DPR made a decision on the results of the fit and proper test for the candidates for members of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

After undergoing a series of fit and proper tests in Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, five names were finally agreed upon to fill the positions of the OJK Board of Commissioners for the 2026–2031 period. Chairman of Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Mukhamad Misbakhun, stated that the decision was made thru consensus in an internal meeting of Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

"Through an internal meeting, Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives decided by consensus to approve five names as candidates for the members of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority, selected for the 2026–2031 term," Misbakhun said in the plenary session of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

In addition to appointing the selected names, the DPR also hopes that the new commissioners can strengthen the role of financial sector oversight and restore public trust in the OJK.

Misbakhun stated that the commissioners are expected to enhance the credibility of the institution and strengthen public trust in the capital market and the national financial services industry.

"Our hope is that the commissioners, chairman, vice-chairman, and members of the OJK Board of Commissioners can rebuild public trust in the Financial Services Authority, in the Indonesian capital market, and in the Indonesian financial services industry," he said.

In that decision, Frederica Widyasari Dewi was appointed as the Chairperson of the OJK Board of Commissioners. Meanwhile, the position of capital market supervisor has been entrusted to Hernawan Bekti Sasongko and Hasan Fauzi. The field of Education and Consumer Protection is held by Diki Kartikoyono, while Adi Budiarso will oversee the digital and crypto financial asset sector.
