RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian government is stepping up preparations to ensure stable food prices and reliable public services ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. President Prabowo Subianto chaired a limited cabinet meeting at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 10, 2026 to discuss key measures for the upcoming holiday season.

During the meeting, the government reviewed the stability of staple food supply, logistics distribution, and infrastructure readiness across the country. Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya, said the discussion focused on ensuring essential goods remain available and accessible to the public.

“The meeting discussed the stability of supply and prices of staple foods, the smooth distribution of logistics, as well as the readiness of infrastructure and public services,” Teddy said in a written statement. He noted that the coordination aims to support safe and comfortable celebrations for Indonesian citizens.

According to him, the president underscored the importance of strong coordination among ministries and government agencies. “The President stressed the need for cross-ministerial coordination to maintain food availability, control staple prices, and ensure smooth distribution across regions,” he said.

In addition to food supply, the government also reviewed readiness in the energy and transportation sectors. These sectors are expected to face increased demand as millions of Indonesians travel during the Eid holiday period.

The meeting was attended by several senior ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan and Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia. Their ministries play key roles in ensuring stable supply chains and national energy security.

It was also attended by Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, and Investment and Downstreaming Minister, Rosan Roeslani. Other cabinet members joined the discussion to strengthen cross-sector collaboration ahead of the major religious holiday.

Through this coordinated effort, the government aims to ensure that public needs are well met ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Officials expressed hope that people across Indonesia can celebrate the holiday peacefully and joyfully.
