Kemenekraf Promotes Regional Creative spaces with FEKRAF Banten

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, discussed strengthening creative space infrastructure to build a robust creative economy ecosystem in the regions with the Banten Creative Economy Forum (FEKRAF Banten). Minister Teuku Riefky emphasized the importance of creative spaces as a platform for community growth and collaboration between creative actors and the government.

"The creative economy is largely emerges from communities. Therefore, communities must continue to collaborate more closely with the government because they share the same goals. And we are confident that if this continues, it will benefit local governments, increasing local revenue (PAD), creating jobs, and generating many positive activities from the creative economy," said Minister Teuku Riefky during an audience with FEKRAF Banten at the Ministry of Creative Economy Office in Jakarta on Monday, 23 February 2026.

Minister Teuku Riefky added that the potential of young people in various regions is growing to utilize creativity as a source of livelihood.

"We are now seeing that young people in almost every region have extraordinary potential. They are not just pursuing a hobby, but are turning the creative economy into a new engine of regional economic growth and creating jobs for the younger generation. Banten is one of the priority provinces for creative economy development based on the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN)," he said.

To strengthen the alignment of central and regional policies, the Ministry of Creative Economy has submitted the Creative Economy Master Plan (Rindekraf) for the President's signature. This document serves as a strategic guideline for aligning creative economy development programs nationally.

"This is actually the direction for synchronization from the central government to the regions. We strongly support and appreciate collaborative efforts with various sectors within the hexahelix to improve creative economy infrastructure in the region," he continued.

FEKRAF Banten, as an independent forum for creative economy practitioners in Banten Province, expressed aspirations regarding strengthening the regional ecosystem. FEKRAF Banten Chairman M. Irfan stated that this audience provided an opportunity to explain the potential and challenges of creative economy development in the region.

"We submitted several requests to the government for tangible support, in policies and facilities. In this regard, we request special attention from the ministry for the revitalization program or the development of a representative creative hub and event center in Serang City," he said.

The audience was also attended by FEKRAF Banten management, including Ovie Rambo, Nagarjuna, Faris NY, Asep Lopang, Febriansyah, and Intan Imelda.

Meanwhile, Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky was accompanied by Deputy for Strategic Development of Creative Economy Cecep Rukendi and Director of Marketing System Development and Institutional Relations Radi Manggala.
