RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy strengthens efforts to expand international opportunities for Indonesian music talent through collaboration with creative industry players. The initiative was highlighted through the ministry's support for the regional Hotels & Heartbreaks Tour by independent musician lullaboy in Jakarta.

The attendance of Vice Minister of Creative Economy and Vice Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, at the concert held at The Music Hall, Grha Pengharapan, Jakarta, on Saturday July 18, followed a strategic meeting with lullaboy's management on June 19, 2026. The government views the regional tour as an opportunity to introduce Indonesian talent, culture, and creative products to international audiences.

Irene said the government is committed to helping creative talents expand collaboration and reach global markets through international platforms. She noted that regional concert tours have become an effective instrument for strengthening Indonesia's creative economy diplomacy.

"Our presence tonight is a concrete follow-up to the ecosystem discussions we began in June. The Ministry of Creative Economy is fully committed to facilitating local creators and creative products so they can collaborate on the global stage. A regional tour like this provides a valuable opportunity to introduce Indonesian talent, culture, and creative brands to a wider international audience," Irene said.

Beyond showcasing music, the concert also demonstrated how the performing arts can drive growth across other creative economy sectors. Its integrated brand activation concept connected music with fashion, beauty, food and beverages, and lifestyle industries, creating a comprehensive experience for audiences.

Irene further said this cross-sector collaboration proves that the performing arts can generate broader economic value. "This collaboration across creative subsectors demonstrates that the performing arts can serve as a powerful catalyst for elevating local products while driving the sustainable growth of Indonesia's creative economy," she said.

The Ministry is also expanding international promotion of Indonesia's creative assets by strengthening market access, building partnerships with local brands, and collaborating with Indonesian diplomatic missions abroad. This strategy aligns with the strong performance of the country's music industry, which attracted Rp5.14 trillion (approximately US$315 million) in investment in 2025, recorded growth of 4.83 percent, and contributed 0.54 percent to Indonesia's total creative economy.

The Jakarta concert is part of the Hotels & Heartbreaks Tour, which will continue in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul, and conclude in Singapore on August 17, 2026. The government hopes the regional tour will further strengthen the international presence of Indonesian talent while creating new opportunities for the global promotion of the country's creative products and cultural industries.
