RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has distributed 1,767.07 tons of logistical aid to residents affected by floods and landslides in Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra.

BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center head Abdul Muhari said on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, that the distribution covered the disaster response period from November 29, 2025, to January 27, 2026.

The agency delivered the aid via multiple modes of transportation, including 56 sorties by BNPB-chartered aircraft, 68 Hercules sorties, 55 truck convoys, and seven sea shipments.

In addition to direct distribution to affected areas, BNPB operated two main logistics hubs serving the three provinces: the West Sumatra Logistics Post and the Aceh Logistics Post.

A total of 2,321.18 tons of aid passed through the West Sumatra post, while the Aceh post handled 2,186.2 tons.

Abdul added that as of February 1, 2026, BNPB had halted daily logistics distribution in Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra to allow officials to reassess needs on the ground.

However, the agency assured that aid distribution would continue gradually and in a measured manner, based on developments and community needs in each region.

BNPB recorded that 105,842 people remain displaced following the floods and landslides that struck the three provinces. ***
