Minister of Hajj and Umrah Delivers Presidential Directives at Closing of 2026 Hajj Officer Training

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Mochamad Irfan Yusuf, officially concluded the 2026 Hajj Officer Training and Education program in Jakarta, on Friday, 30 January 2026. The ceremony marked the final preparation phase for officers tasked with managing the upcoming pilgrimage season.

During the event, Minister Irfan conveyed a series of specific directives from President Prabowo Subianto regarding the management of Indonesian pilgrims. The President’s message underscored the gravity of the mission, framing the organization of the Hajj as a significant national responsibility that requires peak performance from every participant.

In his remarks, Irfan read the President's directives, emphasizing that organizing the Hajj pilgrimage is a great trust for the nation. This sentiment reflects the government's commitment to maintaining its reputation as a global leader in Hajj management.

Highlighting the scale of the operation, the Minister noted the unique pressure faced by the Indonesian mission due to the sheer volume of participants. “Every year, Indonesia sends the largest number of Hajj pilgrims in the world. This fact demands our sincere preparedness, orderly management, and reliable officers,” Irfan stated.

In addition, Hajj Pilgrimage Officers are viewed as occupying a strategic position within the diplomatic and religious landscape. The President, in the message read by the Minister, highlighted discipline as a key attribute that all officers must possess to ensure the safety and comfort of the pilgrims.

Addressing the rigorous standards expected of the graduates, Irfan explained,“I emphasized that discipline is the main foundation in organizing the Hajj pilgrimage. Discipline in terms of time regulations, discipline in carrying out roles and authorities, discipline in terms of time, as well as discipline in maintaining ethics and integrity.”

In addition to technical preparation, the President, via the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, affirmed the importance of dedication. He reminded the officers that their conduct serves as a reflection of the nation's character on the international stage.

According to the Minister, the training must be viewed as an opportunity to strengthen their commitment as representatives of the state. With the conclusion of this program, officers are expected to uphold Indonesia's reputation and carry out their moral and religious responsibilities with full sincerity.
