RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia has once again received the Highest Quality Rating in the ministry category from the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia for its public service delivery, on Wednesday, 29 January 2026. The achievement underscores the ministry’s consistency in maintaining professional, transparent, and maladministration-free public services.

The assessment was conducted on the Directorate of Consular Affairs and the Directorate for the Protection of Indonesian Citizens, both under the Directorate General of Protocol and Consular Affairs. Based on the evaluation carried out in October 2025, the ministry was awarded the Highest Quality Rating in the ministry category.

Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs, Ambassador Andy Rahmianto, who attended the event representing the Minister of Foreign Affairs, said the achievement was the result of consistent efforts to strengthen public service governance.

“The Highest Quality Rating 2025 from the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as the Green Zone achievement in 2024, was recognition of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ commitment particularly that of the Directorate General of Protocol and Consular Affairs, to delivering public services with integrity and free from maladministration,” Andy said.

Out of a total of 38 ministries assessed by the Ombudsman RI, five ministries received the Highest Quality Rating Without Maladministration, while three ministries, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received the Highest Quality Rating.

The achievement adds to the ministry’s positive track record in public service assessments. In 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ranked first in the Green Zone Public Service Award, and in 2024 ranked third, reflecting a high level of compliance with public service standards.

Starting in 2025, the Ombudsman RI implemented a new approach to public service evaluation through the Opinion on the Oversight of Public Service Delivery, replacing the Public Service Compliance Survey. Awards are granted to institutions receiving the Highest Quality Without Maladministration and Highest Quality ratings across five categories: ministries, agencies, provincial governments, city governments, and regency governments.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving the quality of public services and the protection of Indonesian citizens as part of efforts to strengthen public trust and ensure the presence of the state in every service provided, both domestically and across all Indonesian missions abroad.
