RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - State Secretary of Indonesia, Prasetyo Hadi, stated that the revocation of permits for 28 companies violating the utilization of forest areas is an implementation of the Prabowonomics concept promoted by President Prabowo Subianto.
He stated this during a working meeting with Commission XIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), at the Nusantara Building, Jakarta, on Monday, 26 January 2026. "One of the implementations of Prabowonomics is that the 28 companies that violated the rules had their licenses revoked," Prasetyo said.
This revocation decision was made by President Prabowo after hearing a report from the Forest Area Issuance Task Force (Satgas PKH). The State Secretary explained that President Prabowo formed the Satgas PKH, which is tasked with conducting audits and inspections for the issuance of various natural resource-based businesses, ranging from forestry and plantations to mining, since January 2025.
"This is a manifestation of the President's commitment to publishing all economic activities, especially those based on natural resources," he said
Within a year, the PKH Task Force successfully issued and regained control of 4.09 million hectares of oil palm plantations located within forest areas. Of this area, approximately 900,000 hectares were returned as conservation forests to protect global biodiversity.
We'll remove it and restore its function to what it should be. This includes 81,000 hectares to be returned to elephant conservation in Tesso Nilo National Park in Riau Province," the State Secretary stated.
Regarding the revocation of permits for 28 companies, the State Secretary stated that following the decision to revoke the permits, the government then followed up with the administrative process.
