The Kostum Showcases Two Collections at ASEAN Fashion Festival 2026

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Children’s fashion brand The Kostum took part in the ASEAN Fashion Festival (AFF) 2026, presenting two clothing collections, which are Casual Jeans Trendy and Glamour Cocktail Dress. The two lines were showcased by 20 child models on the festival runway.

The Kostum’s participation was part of the three-day ASEAN Fashion Festival 2026, held from September 18 to 20, 2026, at Lippo Mall Nusantara in South Jakarta. This fashion event showcased designers from both Indonesia and abroad, presenting a diverse range of concepts and fashion designs.

Owner and designer behind The Kostum, Yana, described her involvement in AFF 2026 as a valuable experience. She said she was delighted to have the opportunity to introduce her work while sharing the stage with other designers at the event.

“I feel very happy and touched to be able to take part in AFF this year. I never expected to stand alongside skilled designers who already have big names, both from Indonesia and overseas,” said Yana in Jakarta on Monday, 21 September 2026.

At AFF 2026, The Kostum brought 20 child models to present its two latest collections. The Casual Jeans Trendy line emphasizes a casual style with a modern character, while the Glamour Cocktail Dress collection offers designs that convey an elegant impression for children’s formal wear.

The child models’ performances were integral to the presentation of both collections. They walked the runway embodying the distinct character of each outfit they wore.

Yana said she was proud to see the child models present The Kostum’s designs with confidence. In her view, appearing at a fashion event also provides children with an opportunity to develop their skills in modeling.

“I’m proud to see the 20 child models presenting The Kostum’s designs with such feeling. They are not just wearing the clothes; they are also able to bring out the character of every design they showcase,” she said.

For Yana, participation in AFF 2026 was also a chance for The Kostum to introduce its concept of children’s fashion through two contrasting collection characters. The combination of casual style and glamorous design was chosen to display a range of children’s wear on the AFF 2026 stage.

Yana hopes the experience at AFF 2026 will contribute to the ongoing development of The Kostum’s work. She also expressed her hope to return to AFF in 2027 with new collections.

“Hopefully next year we can meet again at AFF 2027, of course with fresh breakthroughs and new surprises from Yana The Kostum’s designs,” she said. (Annaila Azzahra-EN)
