RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Meidra, a newcomer to Indonesia’s music scene and Top Four finalist of Indonesian Idol Season 14, officially begins her musical journey. She released a single, “Seratus Hidup Lagi,” (“A Hundred More Lives”) under HITS Records, marking her professional debut.

Written by Happy Andromeda, Giant Prayash Trinanda, and Meidra, the song is about profound and enduring love. Despite pain, mistakes, and disappointment, the song portrays someone who committed to the same person despite their imperfections.

"The song tells the story of someone who loves their partner and refuses to let them go, despite everything they have been through,” she said in a recent video posted on HITS Records’ YouTube channel. The song explores the idea that even with a hundred chances to live, she would choose the same person.

This emotional narrative highlights devotion, suggesting that genuine love can remain a choice despite repeated challenges and painful experiences. Although the story does not come from Meidra’s personal experience, her distinctive vocals strengthen the song’s emotional delivery.

Her ability to convey emotion, demonstrated since Indonesian Idol, makes “Seratus Hidup Lagi” feel especially heartfelt and powerful. Meidra also worked with vocal director Barsena Bestandhi to explore a fresh vocal color for her debut single.

One challenge involved finding high notes that remained emotional while sounding comfortable and natural throughout the song’s demanding passages. With Barsena’s guidance during the vocal process, Meidra worked to deliver her emotional interpretation for this song.

The song is now available on digital streaming platforms for listeners to enjoy and discover Meidra’s distinctive vocal character. The lyric video is also streaming on HITS Records’ official YouTube channel, offering another way to experience her debut single.
