“Simpul”: A Musical Collaboration on Loyalty in Love

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian singer Fadhilah Intan has returned with her latest musical project. After gaining widespread recognition through her song “Dawai,” which became the original soundtrack for the film “Air Mata di Ujung Sajadah”, Fadhilah is now collaborating with Malaysian singer Daniesh Suffian on a new single titled “Simpul.”

The song, officially released on May 1, 2026, was written by Hendro Djasmoro and Barsena Bestandi. “Simpul”, which means “knot,” symbolizes an unbreakable bond of love. Through its emotional lyrics, the song portrays how distance and time differences are never obstacles for two people who truly love each other.

On the RRI Voice of Indonesia music program, The Session, on Wednesday, May 20, Fadhilah Intan and Daniesh Suffian expressed their hope that “Simpul” could become a wedding soundtrack for couples around the world. Slowly but surely, that hope is becoming a reality, as many couples started using the song to accompany their special and joyful moments on social media.

Interestingly, “Simpul” has not only been warmly received by Indonesian listeners, but has also gained popularity among Malaysian audiences. This proves that music can connect two countries through the universal message of love.

The first meeting between Fadhilah Intan and Daniesh Suffian took place in 2023. At the time, they only exchanged greetings without having a real conversation.

A year later, they decided to create a cover video together and uploaded it to social media. Unexpectedly, the video received a very positive response from many viewers.

Following the success of their cover collaboration, the two singers eventually decided to release an original single together. Through “Simpul”, Fadhilah Intan and Daniesh Suffian hope to inspire listeners to remain faithful in their relationships.

This song also marks Daniesh's very first collaboration with an Indonesian singer. The two artists have successfully created a cross-country musical project filled with meaningful messages about love, loyalty, and the hope of staying connected forever.
