RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia's Creative Economy Minister, Teuku Riefky Harsya, stated that six Indonesian films are scheduled to be released during the Eid holiday season in 2026. Among the films from various genres, one that has drawn attention is “Na Willa.”

“Then there is the film Na Willa, from Visinema Pictures, the studio that previously produced the film Jumbo,” Creative Economy Minister, Teuku Riefky Harsya, stated at the Radio Republik Indonesia in Jakarta on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Na Willa is a family drama produced by Visinema Studios as an adaptation of the first book in the Na Willa trilogy written by Reda Gaudiamo. The film is directed and written by Ryan Adriandhy, who is previously known for the animated film Jumbo, the highest-grossing animated film in Indonesian history.

The story of Na Willa is set in an alley on the outskirts of Surabaya in the 1960s and follows the daily life of a six-year-old girl named Na Willa, portrayed by Luisa Adreena. Through Na Willa’s innocent and curious perspective, the audience is invited to observe the dynamics of a multicultural family, her mother from East Nusa Tenggara and her father of Chinese descent as well as her interactions with the surrounding neighborhood.

The film highlights simple childhood experiences filled with meaning about growth, diversity, and the changing times. Through this story, the film aims to present reflections on family life and society during that period.

In addition to Na Willa, Riefky also mentioned several other films prepared for release during the Eid 2026 period, including Danur: The Last Chapter produced by MD Pictures and Suzzanna: Santet Dosa di Atas Dosa produced by Soraya Intercine Films. There will also be the animated film Pelangi di Mars from Mahakarya Pictures.

Two other films that will also appear in cinemas are Tunggu Aku Sukses Nanti produced by Rapi Films and Senin Harga Naik from Starvision Plus.

“I am confident these films will be very interesting. Therefore, we invite the public to watch them in theaters during the Eid holiday,” he said.

The Eid holiday season is considered a strategic period for the release of national films, as the long holiday usually leads to an increase in cinema audiences. This momentum is often utilized by production houses to present their flagship films to the public.

Na Willa is one of the films prepared to enliven cinema screens during Eid 2026. Its presence is expected to provide more viewing options for audiences while also strengthening the national film industry.
