Ramadan, Momentum to Boost Community Creative Economy

RRI.CO.ID, ACEH - Minister of Creative Economy ,Teuku Riefky Harsya, emphasized the momentum of Ramadan as a driving force to strengthen community-based creative economy initiatives, starting from mosques and Islamic boarding schools. Through the “Safari Ramadan Nyaman Bersama” program in Aceh, Teuku Riefky also reinforced the bond between the government and the public as a form of social solidarity.
“Alhamdulillah, today we are able to reconnect in this noble place to prepare for iftar together. Insyaallah, we will continue collaborating to build the Aceh we love and take pride in,” Teuku Riefky said ahead of breaking the fast at Masjid Darul Huda Bambi on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, as quoted from his official statement.
Various activities under the Safari Ramadan Nyaman Bersama in Aceh included gatherings, pilgrimages, visits to takjil markets, communal iftar, and meetings with mosque administrators and Islamic boarding school leaders. The working visit created space for dialogue between the government and the creative economy ecosystem, fostering collaboration with local communities during Ramadan.
During his brief visit to several cities in Aceh, Teuku Riefky highlighted meaningful initiatives and grassroots economic values encountered along the way, showing how Ramadan can create shared comfort and empowerment. He stated that the Ministry of Creative Economy will continue focusing on developing skills, talent, and capacity among creative economy practitioners in the regions.
“Currently, the Ministry of Creative Economy is more focused on building skills, talent, and capabilities of creative industry players, so they can help drive community activities within mosques and Islamic boarding schools,” Teuku Riefky said.
The Safari Ramadan activities were conducted in a solemn and welcoming atmosphere. The agenda is expected to coordinate sustainable collaboration among the government, mosque and Islamic boarding school administrators, and the wider community to strengthen the community-based creative economy ecosystem throughout Ramadan.
The program began with a pilgrimage at Ruhul Fatayat Seulimeum, followed by congregational Dhuhr prayer at Masjid Agung Al-Falah Sigli. After visiting SPPG Lampeude Baroh 2, Minister Teuku Riefky also inspected the Garuda Suspension Bridge over the Tiro River, which connects Tiba Masjid Village and Trubue Village in the Pidie region.
He also stopped at Masjid Al Husna Pidie for Asr prayer and observed the preparation of Acehnese Kanji Porridge, known for its rich blend of spices. The visit continued with shopping for takjil at Beureuneun Market, a pilgrimage to Kemukiman Bambi, and a communal iftar at Masjid Darul Huda Bambi. The working visit concluded at Dayah MUDI Mesjid Raya Samalanga Islamic Boarding School in Bireuen, where he stayed for sahur with the community.
“Economic growth across all sectors today must be supported by creative skills to build the foundation for regional economic revival. Ramadan should not only strengthen our spirit in worship, but also inspire us to build the creative economy through activities that create shared comfort,” Tuan Wali Jabbar, who delivered a short sermon before iftar stated.
