Rancalintah Tourist Attraction Draws Visitors During Ramadan

RRI.CO.ID, Lebak - The Rancalintah tourist attraction in Rangkasbitung, Lebak Regency, Banten Province has become a popular spot for residents waiting to break their fast during Ramadan. Visitors can enjoy various activities there, from fishing to taking in the natural scenery.

This area is very popular as a place to ngabuburit (an activity of waiting for the time to break the fast during Ramadan) due to the many vendors selling takjil (appetizers such as dates, kolak, fried foods, various ices eaten when breaking the fast, which are usually sweet to restore energy quickly) and local specialties. The area also features facilities such as a city park, a children's playground.

"We came here with our family to ngabuburit and buy various takjil foods," said Selamat (40), a visitor of Rancalintah, on Friday, February 20, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

Besides being located in the heart of the city, the water source at Rancalintah is also very clean and clear, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural scenery while observing various fish.

"We usually come here every Ramadan with our family. Besides waiting for iftar (breaking the fast), it's also a place for entertainment for the children, because there are playgrounds," said Selamat.

Dadi (35), a resident of Rangkasbitung, said that he and his wife visit the Rancalintah tourist attraction every afternoon to pass the time while waiting for iftar. The location is quite attractive and still pristine and beautiful.

"We go to Rancalintah for ngabuburit. It's entertaining, we also get to meet up with friends or schoolmates," said Dadi.

Usep Suparno, Head of the Tourism Destinations Division of the Lebak Regency Culture and Tourism Agency (Disbudpar), said that visitors to the Rancalintah are not only Lebak residents, but also from Serang and Tangerang. Visitors usually arrive as early as 4 p.m., ranging from teenagers to adults.

"Rancalintah, located in the heart of Rangkasbitung city, is crowded with visitors every Ramadan," he said. ***
