RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto used his appearance at the 11th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok to call on Russian companies to expand their business into Indonesia, framing the invitation as a step toward building shared industries and value creation.
“I conveyed directly to Russian entrepreneurs: come to Indonesia, work with us, and produce with us. Let’s build industries together and create value together,” President Prabowo said during the forum’s plenary session on Thursday, September 3, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
He emphasized that deeper cooperation would open wider access for Indonesia to Eurasian markets. The EEF, held from September 1–4, is hosted in Vladivostok with RIA Novosti as a media partner.
Speaking at a luncheon with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prabowo expressed honor at being invited to the forum, describing it as a bridge for regional cooperation and connectivity.
President Prabowo also highlighted the longstanding partnership between Indonesia and Russia, which has spanned more than five decades, reaffirming Russia’s role as a key partner for Indonesia. ***
