RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian government officially unveiled the logo and visual identity for the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday, June 29, 2026. The selected logo was designed by Padang-based graphic designer Fajar Novario and reflects this year's theme, "A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia."

Vice Minister of State Secretariat, Juri Ardianto, said Fajar Novario's design received 44.73 percent of the votes in a public polling process organized by the government.

"Fajar Novario's work received 44.73 percent of the total votes. Once again, congratulations to Mr. Fajar Novario. Your design has been selected as the official logo for the 81st Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence in 2026," Juri said during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.

He explained that the logo features a bold visual design with a strong philosophical meaning. It was inspired by an exploration of traditional motifs from various regions across the Indonesian archipelago.

According to him, despite their diversity, these traditional patterns share common elements that symbolize unity as the foundation of the people's sovereignty in realizing a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia.

"Within that diversity, there are shared patterns that illustrate how diversity serves as the foundation of the people's sovereignty in building a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia," he said.

Juri also expressed appreciation for the public's active participation in selecting the official logo through the voting process. He said the government hopes public involvement will extend beyond choosing the logo to actively celebrating the nation's 81st Independence Day.

"The President hopes that the celebration of Indonesia's 81st Independence Day truly belongs to the people. He encourages all Indonesians to continue participating actively and to play a role in this year's Independence Day celebrations," he said.

He called on the public to celebrate Independence Day with enthusiasm, joy, and togetherness by flying the Red and White flag at homes, schools, offices, and other public spaces.

The government also encouraged all stakeholders to use the official theme and logo for the 81st Independence Day across various media platforms. Guidelines and official logo materials can be downloaded from logohutri.istanapresiden.go.id.

Juri added that the website provides examples of how the logo can be applied to banners, billboards, merchandise, and social media platforms, making it easier for the public to use the official visual identity correctly.

"The website also provides examples of how the logo can be implemented across various media, including banners, merchandise, billboards, and social media platforms. This will make it easier for the public to access and use the official logo," Juri said.
