VOI-FCB Congratulates on the 81st Anniversary of Republic of Indonesia

RRI.CO.ID, Dhaka – The Founder President of Voice of Indonesia Fan Club of Bangladesh (VOI-FCB) and Founder Chairman of South Asia Radio Club (SARC) Bangladesh, Radio Activist, Didarul Iqbal (S21DAL), Cultural Secretary, Taslima Akter Lima and Children's Affairs Secretary, Labib Iqbal extended warm greetings and congratulations to all Indonesian people on the occasion of the 81st Anniversary of Republic of Indonesia.

“On behalf of our VOI Fan club of Bangladesh, I extend my sincere love and best wishes to you and congratulations on the 81st Indonesian Independence Day,” Cultural Secretary of Voice of Indonesia Fan Club of Bangladesh (VOI-FCB) Bangladesh, Taslima Akter Lima conveyed.

Previously, the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka celebrated the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia with the Indonesian community living in Bangladesh. The celebration began with a Red and White Flag hoisting ceremony at the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka at 8:00 AM on Monday, August 17, 2026.

The ceremony was proudly attended by Indonesian Embassy officials and families, the Indonesian community and Indonesian expatriates living in Bangladesh. This year, the ceremony presented the Flag Raising Troop officers consisting of young people and involving elements of the Indonesian Embassy Staff in Dhaka, Indonesian citizens.

On that occasion, the Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Listyowati, as the Inspector of the Ceremony has presented the “Satyalancana Karya Satya 30th Anniversary Award” certificate to Tomo Sudrajat (Staff of the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka), and awards in the form of Certificates were also given to all members of the Flag Raising Troop officers team and the Commander and Ceremony Officer.

To mark the Indonesia's 81st Anniversary of Independence, the Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Listyowati symbolically cut a traditional and national dish of Indonesia “Tumpeng” (rice cone) and distributed among the representatives of the community present, took photos together and enjoyed breakfast together in a cordial atmosphere as well as socializing.

After the flag-hoisting ceremony, the event continued with entertainment and offerings from the Indonesian community, further enlivened by a number of door prizes with attractive prizes. To relieve homesickness and increase the festive atmosphere, the fair featured a variety of Indonesian food, drinks, products and Indonesian traditional specialties.

Participants served a variety of dishes. These included Siomay (steamed fish dumpling), Mie ayam (chicken noodles), Empek-Empek (fish cake), Bakso kuah (meatball soup), Risoles, Dadar gulung, various Indonesian snacks and Indonesian cooking spices. This bustling Indonesian food fair added more vibrancy to the 81st Indonesian Independence Day celebrations.

About 400 Indonesian citizens from Dhaka and its surrounding areas, and even from far-flung places, thronged the Indonesian Embassy building. Everyone looked happy and excited as they participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony and the subsequent festivities that took place that day.
