RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Garuda Indonesia has once again secured a place among the Top 25 World’s Best Airlines 2026, according to AirlineRatings.com, underscoring the carrier’s steady progress in service quality and operational performance amid its ongoing transformation and recovery.

Garuda Indonesia President Director Glenny Kairupan hailed the achievement as a reflection of the airline’s restructuring and performance acceleration programs.

“In the midst of the challenging dynamics of the global aviation industry, this achievement is a positive signal that reflects the progress of the company’s transformation,” Glenny said in Jakarta on Thursday, April 29, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

Garuda ranked 24th in the World’s Best Full-Service Airlines 2026 category, making it the only Indonesian carrier to appear on the list. The rankings were announced on AirlineRatings.com following independent assessments and surveys conducted earlier this year.

The recognition reaffirms Garuda’s position as Indonesia’s sole national airline to break into the global list in 2026. Glenny emphasized the company’s commitment to accelerating transformation across all business lines.

“World’s Best Airlines 2026 is an annual award from Airline Ratings that focuses on the passenger experience during flights,” he explained.

Evaluation criteria included in-flight product quality such as meals and cabin comfort, as well as crew professionalism and performance. AirlineRatings also assessed service consistency, operational innovation, and flight safety as key indicators in determining global rankings.

“Garuda Indonesia will continue to accelerate comprehensive transformation with an adaptive, sustainable, and measurable approach," Glenny said, reiterating Garuda Indonesia’s long-term vision.
