Indonesia Dispatches 15,349 Pilgrims in Fourth Day of Hajj Operations

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s Hajj operations have dispatched 15,349 pilgrims during the fourth day of implementation. The update was delivered in Jakarta on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
A total of 40 flight groups (kloter) have departed for Saudi Arabia since operations began. From that number, 9,884 pilgrims from 25 kloter have already arrived in Madinah.
The Indonesian government continues to ensure smooth operations while improving services for all pilgrims. Efforts focus on maintaining efficiency and comfort throughout the journey and arrival process.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Ichsan Marsha, confirmed the latest operational progress. He underscored that services are continuously optimized to support pilgrims’ needs.
The following is his statement regarding the fourth day of Hajj operational implementation. It highlights the government’s commitment to maintaining service quality.
“Until the fourth day of operations, 40 flight groups with 15,349 pilgrims have departed, and 9,884 pilgrims have arrived in Madinah. We ensure all processes run smoothly with continuously improved services,” he said.
The ministry also reported health service developments in the Madinah working area for Indonesian pilgrims. A total of 93 pilgrims received outpatient care, while others were referred for further treatment.
The following is his additional statement regarding health services and weather conditions faced by pilgrims. It reflects Indonesia’s concern for safety, health, and overall pilgrimage readiness.
“We pay serious attention to health aspects. Every report becomes the basis for strengthening services so pilgrims can worship safely and comfortably,” he said.
The Indonesian government also expressed condolences for one pilgrim and ensured all rights fulfillment. Pilgrims are urged to stay hydrated and minimize activities amid hot weather conditions.
