RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Amid limited access to healthcare in conflict-affected areas, the Indonesian National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) has partnered with Tempo Scan to deliver free medical services to 1,500 Palestinians in displacement camps, targeting the most vulnerable groups.

The medical services were delivered in displacement camps in Deir Al-Balah and Khan Yunis, where thousands of families affected by conflict are currently sheltering. The assistance included general health check-ups, clinical services, as well as eye and dental care. Medicines were also distributed in cooperation with Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Chairman of BAZNAS, Sodik Mudjahid, said the initiative responds to urgent healthcare needs among Palestinians. “Thank God, through various collaborative efforts and the concern of many parties, including Tempo Scan, we have been able to provide healthcare services in camps across several areas in Palestine,” Sodik said in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, as quoted on BAZNAS official website.

He emphasized that the program reflects the solidarity of the Indonesian people with Palestinians facing difficult conditions.

“This assistance is a trust from the Indonesian people, and we ensure it is delivered properly and to the right targets. In principle, every zakat, donation, and charity entrusted through BAZNAS is managed transparently, professionally, and responsibly so that the benefits can be directly felt by those in need,” he said.

Sodik also expressed appreciation for Tempo Scan’s continued support, noting that cross-sector collaboration is crucial in expanding humanitarian assistance, especially in areas with limited access. “This is not the first time Tempo Scan has provided humanitarian aid for Palestine. BAZNAS hopes this collaboration will continue and grow in the future,” he added.

He further stated that BAZNAS will continue channeling support for Palestine through various humanitarian programs and thanked Indonesians for their trust and contributions.

“Alhamdulillah, for Palestine, we will continue all support from the Indonesian people through various humanitarian programs. We also express our gratitude to all Indonesians who have entrusted their contributions through BAZNAS. We encourage the public to continue strengthening their concern for our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” he concluded.
