RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - After concluding high-level talks in Moscow, Russia, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Paris late on Monday, April 13, 2026, marking the next stage of Indonesia’s strategic diplomacy in Europe.

His arrival at 11:50 p.m. local time (4:50 a.m. Jakarta time) followed a three-and-a-half-hour flight from Russia, where he held intensive bilateral discussions with President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin.

According to the Government Communication Agency (Bakom), President Prabowo’s visit to France is part of a broader effort to strengthen Indonesia’s global partnerships.

In Paris, he is scheduled to meet President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace for a one-on-one discussion focused on expanding strategic cooperation, Antara reported.

Indonesia and France already maintain close ties across multiple sectors. Defense remains a cornerstone, with collaboration on military equipment procurement and defense industry development.

Energy cooperation, particularly in renewable energy and transition projects, is another priority, alongside infrastructure, transportation, education, research, creative economy, climate change mitigation, and sustainable development.

France is also regarded as one of Indonesia’s key European partners in promoting trade and investment.

The meeting is expected to reinforce the strategic partnership between the two nations while opening new avenues for concrete, mutually beneficial collaboration.
