Indonesian Envoys in Malaysia Extend Eid Greetings, Urge Safe Travel

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian diplomats in Malaysia have extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to citizens abroad while reminding them to ensure safe and compliant travel during the holiday season.
Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia Mohammad Iman Hascarya Kusumo conveyed his message through the official social media account of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, March 20, 2026.
“Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. I, along with all staff of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, wish you a happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum. Please forgive us for any shortcomings,” he said, as quoted by Antara.
The ambassador also advised Indonesian citizens planning to travel home for the Eid holiday to ensure their travel documents are complete and valid, and to comply with regulations for a safe and smooth journey.
“May your journey be smooth and you can celebrate Eid happily with your loved ones and return safely to Malaysia,” he added.
In a separate message, Indonesian Consul General in Penang Wanton Saragih also extended Eid greetings to Muslims in Malaysia, particularly those in Penang, Kedah, and Perlis.
In a video shared on the Consulate General’s social media account, Wanton expressed hope that Eid would serve as a meaningful moment for spiritual renewal.
“My fellow Muslims, especially those in Penang, Kedah, and Perlis, with gratitude and happiness, on behalf of myself and all staff of the Indonesian Consulate General in Penang, I wish you a happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri,” he said.
The messages highlight Indonesia’s efforts to stay connected with its citizens overseas during major religious celebrations while emphasizing safety and preparedness during peak travel periods. ***
