RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta — The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Kuala Lumpur continues to promote the Sustainable Luxury Fashion Indonesia brand in the Malaysian market through a collaboration with Collabstore, a retail platform that features various sustainable fashion brands. During the event held on March 10, 2026, the brand Intresse, which has been present since 2025, opened opportunities for two other Indonesian brands, Findmeera and Kekean, to join the platform.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Malaysia, Raden Dato’ Mohammad Iman Hascarya, in a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday, March 12, 2026, said Indonesian designers are increasingly gaining global recognition for their creativity, craftsmanship, and contemporary design approach.

“Indonesian designers are increasingly recognized globally for their creativity, craftsmanship, and contemporary design approach, and it is truly encouraging to see these qualities receiving strong appreciation in Malaysia,” Raden Dato’ Mohammad Iman Hascarya stated.

He also emphasized the importance of strengthening networks among designers, business players, buyers, retailers, and the media to support the growth of Indonesian brands in the global market. The presence of the three brands complements several Indonesian fashion labels that had previously joined Collabstore, including Roemah Kebaya, Putri Anjani, Aeri Luxe, Artolouis, Studio Moral, Kanzi Collection, Nyaman, and Nyana Nyana.

The participation of the eleven brands is part of the Indonesian Embassy’s efforts to expand access for Indonesia’s creative economy in Malaysia, particularly in the fashion sector, which is one of the key pillars of the national creative industry.

As part of an integrated promotion strategy, the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur also organized the Experience Nusantara Couture event on March 10, 2026. The event served as a business networking platform to strengthen the exposure of Indonesian brands while encouraging collaboration with media, buyers, distributors, retailers, and creative industry players in Malaysia.

The event, held in collaboration with Collabstore at Shoppes at Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur, featured curated fashion labels, including those from Indonesia.

The event was attended by more than 100 guests from the diplomatic community, retail associations, media, and Malaysia’s fashion industry. The program began with a fashion showcase featuring 11 Indonesian brands and continued with business networking during an iftar gathering with Indonesian culinary specialties.
