RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Australian Halal Development & Accreditation (AHDAA) has been honored with the prestigious “Halal Certification & Export Enabler Award 2026” at the Indonesia Top Achievements of the Year (ITAY) 2026, held at Grand Studio Metro TV, Jakarta on Friday, 20 February 2026.
The award was received by Abdullahi Mohamed, Certification Team & Lead Auditor of AHDAA Australia, in the presence of senior Indonesian officials, institutional leaders, and international business executives.
The ITAY 2026 jury recognized AHDAA not merely as a halal certification body, but as a strategic trade enabler strengthening access to Muslim-majority markets, including Indonesia — the world’s largest halal consumer market.
As bilateral trade relations continue to expand, credible halal certification systems play a critical role in regulatory harmonization and market confidence.
Through standardized and transparent certification systems, AHDAA facilitates cross-border halal trade and supports export-driven economic growth between Australia and Indonesia.
The award acknowledges:
• Comprehensive halal certification schemes from slaughter to supply chain compliance
• Structured auditing and compliance systems aligned with international halal standards
• Support for export-oriented producers
• Industry training and halal capacity-building programs
• International recognition enabling export market acceptance
According to a release received by Voice of Indonesia on Saturday, 21 February 2026, AHDAA’s framework enhances export readiness and strengthens trust among importing countries.
In 2025, Indonesia and Australia inked an agreement to boost halal trade. The Minister noted that Australia has imported halal products worth US$8.13 trillion from various countries worldwide.
