US-Indonesia Business Summit Secures USD38.4 Billion Commitments

RRI.CO.ID, Washington D. C. - Indonesia and the United States marked a new phase of bilateral economic cooperation through a major business summit. The event produced total trade and investment commitments worth USD38.4 billion across strategic sectors.
The US-Indonesia Business Summit 2026 was held at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, 19 February 2026. It was part of Prabowo Subianto’s working visit and a reciprocal trade agreement discussions.
During a roundtable session, President Prabowo Subianto emphasized Indonesia’s scale, demographics, and openness to investment. “For American companies, Indonesia is not only a market but also a production base," he said.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said the commitments reflected rising American business confidence. The forum was initiated by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, US-ASEAN Business Council, and US-Indonesia Society.
As quoted by press release of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, in the agricultural sector, Indonesia secured medium and long term trade commitments valued at USD4.5 billion. The agreements support stable supplies for national food, feed, and textile industries going forward.
Industrial cooperation includes semiconductor ecosystem development, textile recycling initiatives, and green technology industrial areas. These partnerships aim to strengthen Indonesia’s manufacturing competitiveness and integration within global supply chains.
Overall commitments reached USD38.4 billion, covering approximately USD33.9 billion in industrial sector agreements signed. Airlangga said reciprocal trade arrangements ensure balanced benefits and long term strategic economic cooperation.
