TNI AU and Royal Canadian Air Force Hold Aviation Safety Workshop

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta -  The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) and the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) held the 2026 Aviation Safety Workshop at the 505th Education Squadron Language Center in Jakarta on Monday, 2 February 2026. 

The workshop was opened by First Marshal Dodi Fernando, Deputy Head of the Center for Safety Airworthiness and Work of the Air Force.

The workshop was held in collaboration between the Center for Safety Airworthiness and Work of Indonesian Air Force and the RCAF's Directorate of Military Training and Cooperation. 

Head of the Center for Safety Airworthiness and Work of the Air Force, Rear Marshal Fakhrizet, in his welcoming speech read by First Marshal Dodi Fernando the Indonesian Air Force, stated that the two Air Forces would like to share knowledge about the aviation safety. 

"This workshop demonstrates the Indonesian Air Force's commitment to improving aviation safety culture and provides a platform for knowledge exchange with the Royal Canadian Air Force," Fakhrize stated.

Meanwhile, Canadian Defense Attaché, Colonel Stewart Taylor, expressed his hope that the knowledge gained could be utilized and implemented in their respective aviation safety programs. 

According to him, the forum's primary objectives are to protect lives, maintain equipment readiness, and ensure the success of every mission.

Canadian Defense Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Wilfred Rellinger, was accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Simon Germain, Major Macauley, Captain Josh Paley, Master Warrant Officer James Brown, and Master Warrant Officer Daniel Landry. 

The workshop was also attended by First Marshal Tahyodi and other Indonesian Air Force officials. (Ahmad Faisal)
