Prabowo Presents Indonesia's Strategic Programs at WEF-2026

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto outlined the direction and main programs of his government in his speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 held in Davos, Switzerland on Thursday, 22 January 2026. He also affirmed that in addition to peace and stability, economic growth requires strong governance and efficient capital allocation.

In this context, the President also explained the establishment of the sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia as a strategic instrument to drive national growth and industrialization. Danantara is referred to as the foundation of Indonesia's partnership with global investors.

"Danantara is a sovereign wealth fund with assets under management valued at one trillion US dollars. With Danantara, I can stand before you as an equal partner," President Prabowo stated.

He emphasized that Indonesia is not only known as a stable country but is also increasingly becoming a land of investment opportunities. Through Danantara, Indonesia is opening up space for collaboration and joint financing for future industries.

"With Danantara Indonesia, you can now become our partner. We will invest and grow with you," Prabowo said.

In addition, President Prabowo also outlined fiscal efficiency policies that serve as the foundation for financing various priority programs. In the first two months of his administration, the state budget was significantly restructured so that the government could launch the free nutritious meal program, which is now rapidly expanding.

"As of last night, we have produced 59.8 million meals for 59.8 million children, mothers, and elderly people living alone. They receive this food every day. This year we aim to provide 82.9 million meals per day," he said.

In the health sector, President Prabowo emphasized that national free health checks are a long-term productivity investment, not a populist policy. In the education sector, the President also highlighted the acceleration of educational transformation thru school renovations and classroom digitalization across Indonesia.

According to the President, human development is key to long-term growth. "I am confident that human resources determine long-term growth and long-term profits. Human resource development is the key to a prosperous and successful nation," Prabowo said.
