KBRN, Jakarta: The Ministry of Communication and Digital has imposed access restrictions on three private Electronic System Operators (PSE) for failing to comply with mandatory registration requirements. The affected platforms include PT. Dunia Luxindo (Bath & Body Works), eBay Inc., and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Director General of Digital Space Oversight Alexander Sabar stated, "This access blocking is an administrative sanction under Article 7 of Ministerial Regulation No. 5/2020, applied after multiple notifications and warnings were ignored." The ministry had previously issued compliance reminders through official letters and public announcements.

"The enforcement action demonstrates our commitment to maintaining an orderly and accountable digital ecosystem while protecting users from potential risks of unregistered services," Sabar emphasized.

The ministry confirmed all three platforms had failed to initiate registration procedures despite extended deadlines.

Authorities have urged all electronic system operators to complete registration through Indonesia's Online Single Submission (OSS) portal before offering services, and to promptly update any changes to their registration information. This measure follows Indonesia's 2020 regulatory framework strengthening oversight of digital platforms operating in the country.

The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring equal regulatory compliance among all digital service providers while safeguarding consumer interests in Indonesia's rapidly growing digital economy.
