RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - To commemorate World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21, 2026, Ciputra Hospital CitraGarden City in Jakarta inaugurated a Memory Clinic dedicated to the early detection and treatment of memory disorders, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The service was officially launched in the hospital’s first-floor clinic area and attended by members of the board of directors, management, and specialist doctors.
Ciputra Hospital CitraGarden City Director, Margaretha, said the new service was established to strengthen early detection efforts, prevent the worsening of patients’ conditions, and provide support for patients and their families. She said World Alzheimer’s Day served as a reminder that memory disorders require attention from the earliest signs.
“For older people, forgetfulness should not be dismissed as something trivial or considered normal. It requires professional treatment,” said Margaretha on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
The physician in charge of the Memory Clinic, Debby Amelia, explained that the clinic provides a range of comprehensive services. These include cognitive function screening, neurological consultations, neuropsychological assessments, and memory stimulation and rehabilitation programs.
“The services are supported by a multidisciplinary team comprising neurologists, clinical psychologists, and trained healthcare professionals,” she said.
Separately, PT Citra Raya Medika Director, Nararya Ciputra Sastrawinata, encouraged the hospital’s management and healthcare workers to continue developing neurological services as one of the hospital’s priority areas. (Annaila Azzahra-EN)
