RRI.CO.ID, Singapore - Indonesia’s digital health transformation has reached a new milestone on the international stage. The Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) secured two Special Mention honors at the 2026 Festival of Innovation Awards held by GovInsider in Singapore on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
These awards highlight the nation's success in leveraging technology to streamline bureaucracy and improve public access to healthcare. The awards recognize both individual leadership in digital ecosystems and the rapid, data-driven implementation of preventive health programs.
Minister of Health, Budi G. Sadikin, was honored with a Special Mention for Digital Leader of the Year. This award acknowledges his strategic role in developing the SATUSEHAT ecosystem as the National Health Information System (SIKN). By integrating various health data points, the SATUSEHAT initiative has been credited with creating a more efficient healthcare landscape for millions of Indonesians.
The Free Health Check (CKG) program received a Special Mention in the Agility Award category. As part of President Prabowo Subianto's "Quick Wins" program, CKG was praised for its responsiveness and use of near real-time data to meet preventive care needs. The program's scale is significant, as of March 5, 2026, the number of registered participants in the CKG program has reached 85,320,550 citizens.
Head of the Bureau of Communication and Public Information at Kemenkes, Aji Muhawarman, emphasized that these accolades reflect the government's commitment to bringing healthcare closer to the people.
"This award serves as motivation for us to continue expanding the reach and improving the quality of the Free Health Check (CKG) program. Our main focus is to ensure that every citizen, without exception, can access preventive health services easily and quickly through the support of integrated digital technology," Aji stated in Jakarta, as quoted by the ministry's official website.
The Festival of Innovation Award is an annual event celebrating the Asia-Pacific public sector’s success in using technology to solve practical challenges. While the Digital Leader category spotlights the individuals driving innovation, the Agility Award focuses on an agency's ability to adapt quickly with efficient, tech-driven solutions. ***
