Indonesia’s Health Minister, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, instructed the hospital to optimize the use of advanced medical equipment. This directive aims at supporting higher-level medical procedures and improving service quality for patients.

“I want it improved to be complex but advanced, because the equipment is already excellent," the minister on Health Ministry's press release on Thursday, 29 January 2026. He also emphasized the importance of aligning sophisticated devices with equally advanced clinical practices.

The hospital mentoring program is currently being implemented by Dr. Sardjito General Hospital. The five-year assistance focuses on strengthening human resources and ensuring effective knowledge transfer.

The United Arab Emirates also expressed commitment to supporting the hospital’s long-term operations. UAE officials are reviewing additional medical supply assistance to ensure professional and sustainable services.

"UAE is always ready to give support to our friendly nation, Indonesia," the Ambassador of United Arab Emirates to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Surakarta highlighted the hospital’s strategic role in handling cardiac emergencies. Rapid response within two to six hours is critical for heart attack cases in the region.
