RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian Ministry of Forestry has confirmed that all nature tourism activities in West Bali National Park (TNBB) are being conducted in accordance with permit procedures. The clarification was issued in response to growing public interest in activities within the conservation area.
Given TNBB’s strategic importance and rich biodiversity, the government emphasized the need to provide explanations based on data and field verification.
According to verification results, activities within the TNBB utilization zone are legal and designated for a limited nature tourism. The zone is outlined in the official zoning document and forms part of the national park management system, balancing protection and utilization functions.
“The Ministry of Forestry ensures that all activities have received government approval, including business permits for the use of environmental services for nature tourism and the required environmental approval documents,” said Ristianto Pribadi, Head of the Public Relations and Foreign Cooperation Bureau, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
He stressed that ongoing activities are part of a legitimate, planned utilization scheme, with regular monitoring to ensure conservation principles are upheld. Monitoring also safeguards key wildlife habitats and coastal ecosystems.
“West Bali National Park has a vital ecological function. Therefore, every form of utilization must undergo a strict licensing process,” Ristianto said.
