RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian Ministry of Trade is boosting the competitiveness of Indonesian restaurants in the global market by hosting the S’RASA Series webinar on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. This initiative aims to promote Indonesian cuisine worldwide on a sustainable basis.
The online webinar focused on two main aspects: the importance of a reliable logistics system and strategies for developing signature dishes that serve as a restaurant’s identity.
According to a written press release, Director General of National Export Development Fajarini Puntodewi fully supports the initiative. She emphasized that synergy between the government and stakeholders is crucial to the success of the S'RASA program.
“Through the S'RASA Series Webinar, we aim to create a space for knowledge-sharing that can help business owners enhance service quality, expand the use of Indonesian products, and boost the competitiveness of Indonesian cuisine in international markets,” Puntodewi said.
The event featured experts who shared strategies for strengthening supply chains and developing signature menus. Participants, including trade representatives and restaurant owners abroad, gained direct insights into efficient distribution methods for raw materials.
Director of Export Development for Creative Services and Products, Ari Satria, explained that the webinar is designed as a platform for continuous learning. The overall program is supported by five main pillars: menu standardization, logistics, human resources, promotion, and funding.
“Each series of the S’RASA Webinar will address the issues most pressing for Indonesian restaurants abroad, ranging from logistics, menu development, and marketing to business capacity building. The hope is that Indonesian restaurants will not only be able to serve authentic flavors but also serve as a showcase for Indonesian food, beverages, seasonings, and spices in the global market,” Ari said.
The initiative received strong support from trade representatives and business owners around the world. Owner of Amanah Mande Restaurant in Japan, Nurhanifah, welcomed the effort to expand the market for Indonesian spices and processed foods.
“We hope this program will encourage more Indonesian restaurants to thrive in Japan and in various other countries. We also believe this program will expand market access for Indonesian spices, seasonings, and processed food products,” Nurhanifah said.
