KBRN, Jakarta: The Permanent Representation of the Republic of Indonesia (PTRI) in Geneva captivated the attention of thousands of international visitors at the Asian Ambassadors’ Wives Association Geneva (AAWAG) 2025 event, themed "Jewels of Asia," held at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) office in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to a press release from PTRI Geneva received in Jakarta on Thursday, June 12, 2025, Indonesia’s participation this time was strengthened by Almalia Habib, wife of the Chargé d’Affaires Ad Interim (KUAI) of PTRI Geneva, Achsanul Habib who also serves as the Secretary of AAWAG 2025. This active involvement reflects Indonesia’s commitment to cultural diplomacy on the international stage.

Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP), a women organization government's umbrella, fully supported Indonesia’s participation in AAWAG 2025, held on June 11, 2025, by preparing all the characteristic Indonesian culinary dishes and booth decorations that showcased the nation’s rich culture.

Indonesia presented two main booths: a handicraft booth and a culinary booth. The handicraft booth displayed handmade products typical of the archipelago, representing its beauty and local cultural values.

Meanwhile, the culinary booth served popular foods such as nasi goreng, satay, spring rolls (lumpia), onde-onde, and Indonesian-style iced coffee. All the culinary offerings were quickly sold out to visitors.

PTRI Geneva noted that the Indonesian booth was among the most visited throughout the event. Visitors expressed their admiration for the authentic taste of Indonesian dishes and the high quality of the handicraft products, which were deemed unique and rich in cultural value.

"AAWAG 2025 served as a strategic platform to introduce Indonesia’s cultural richness to the international community in Geneva," said PTRI Geneva.

The AAWAG 2025 event was also enlivened by cultural and artistic performances from member countries, such as traditional fashion shows, characteristic dances, and local arts depicting Asia's diversity.
