RRI.CO.ID, Surabaya – The Ministry of Trade has expressed appreciation for the success of Lumosh Living, a local ceramic micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) from Surabaya, in entering the European export market through eco-friendly innovation. Vice Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri conveyed this support during her visit to the business site in Surabaya, East Java, on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

The local ceramic brand is considered globally competitive due to its circular economy practices and unique product designs. The government remains committed to facilitating export promotion through trade representatives in various countries to connect local MSMEs with international buyers.

“We have trade representatives spread across many countries, and they serve as mediators to connect MSMEs with suitable buyers. Therefore, we encourage MSMEs to continue being proactive in taking advantage of the various business matching and business pitching opportunities facilitated by these trade representatives,” Vice Minister Roro explained.

Lumosh Living implements its eco-friendly concept by recycling ceramic shards into high-quality tableware products. This innovative process reduces the need for raw materials while lowering carbon emissions during production.

“This circular innovation has also been proven to increase product density and durability by up to 20 percent, reduce carbon emissions by 30 percent, and ensure the products are lead-free and cadmium-free, with a 99 percent quality level equivalent to that of new ceramic products. This concept sets Lumosh apart from mass-produced ceramics,” Lumosh Living Co-founder Raymon Tjiadi stated.

A combination of personal marketing strategies and high quality standards has enabled these local ceramic products to be exported to the Netherlands and Spain. Furthermore, participation in international exhibitions like the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) has expanded their market reach to the Middle East.

The government emphasized that it will continue to guide local business owners in reaching new export destinations, such as Russia and Japan. This support includes providing access to international trade fairs and strengthening partnerships to enhance the global competitiveness of Indonesian products.
