Trade Minister Budi Santoso received a visit from Donny M. Yogantoro, Secretary General of the Indonesia-Thai Chamber of Commerce (INTCC), in Jakarta on Monday, July 27, 2026. The meeting discussed specific strategies to promote the penetration of Indonesian products into the Thai market.
The main focus of the discussion covered opportunities for local products to enter modern retail networks in Thailand. In addition, both parties also devised special promotional campaigns for Indonesian food products.
Trade Minister Budi stated that the Indonesian government is committed to continuing to collaborate with various parties to open up international market opportunities. “The Ministry of Trade remains committed to strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders to open up broader export opportunities and enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian products in the global market,” he said.
Synergy between the government and business organizations such as INTCC is expected to make things easier for local businesses. This support ranges from mapping market opportunities to facilitating overseas promotions.
At the meeting, the Minister of Trade was accompanied by officials from his ministry. He was joined by the Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini Puntodewi, and the Director of Market Development and Export Information, Bayu Nugroho.
